Thirsty Thursday - Butterbeer

Hey everybody! It's that time again for Thirsty Thursday. I'm so glad we decided to start doing these. As you may or may not know, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I grew up reading the books and love watching the movies. This week I'm going to show y'all how to make homemade Butterbeer. It's a popular wizarding beverage served in Hogsmeade.

What you'll need

-Cream Soda (8oz or 1 cup)
-Butterscotch Syrup (4oz or 1/2 cup)
-Butter (1/2 tbsp)

First you will need to measure the butterscotch syrup into your glass. I went with mason jar mugs. Be sure to use any glass that is microwave safe though.

Next measure the butter into the glass.

Microwave on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated. Stir and cool for about 30 seconds.

Finally you will need to slowly mix in the cream soda.

And there you have it folks!! Your very own Butterbeer.

There are a few different ways to execute this recipe, but this was the cheapest and simplest way. You can also add butterscotch schnapps for a more "adult friendly" drink. Hope y'all enjoy!!
