Anthropologie DIY Knock Off Mirror

Hey everyone! I hope this week is going great for you guys. This week's project is an  Anthropologie  Knock off Mirror. I've seen this project floating around Pinterest lately and I knew I could do it. The original tutorial is on  Flamingo Toes. I saw the original mirror and I had to have one for my own. I found my mirror at a thrift store while I was in Dahlonega for 3 bucks. 3 dollars! HECK YEAH! I'm not sure what it is about Savannah, but most thrift stores here want like $45 for a used wall mirror. Um...no. Anyway, you'll have to bare with my picture taking. The pictures I've taken don't do this mirror justice.

I LOVE IT!!!  I forgot to get a before picture of the mirror. Sorry.

Favorite Finds Friday {7}

Woo Hoo! Three day weekend! Well, for most people anyway. I've got to work tomorrow, but such is life. I am going to Atlanta (again) on Sunday and Monday though to watch a couple of baseball games with my beau and his dad. So that should be fun. Anyway, this week's favorite finds are in. I hope you guys enjoy them. Let me know what you think. Or better yet let all the wonderful ladies that were featured this week know what you think.

DIY Menu Board

Hello everyone! So after a week's hiatus from yours truly I'm finally back. This week's project is a menu board that I made for Emily.

It's nice to get back to crafting after my little mini vacation. My trip was sooo much fun though and I was so happy to see my family. The white water rafting trip was so beautiful. I was really sad that I wasn't able to take my camera so I could snap some pictures while we were on the river, but I think my camera is worth more than a few pictures. The water would have killed it dead. I was able to get some pictures of our other adventures though.

Favorite Finds Friday {6}

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone's week and Mother's Day was wonderful. I want to take a minute to share with you the present I made for Emily and a mutual friend of ours for Mother's Day. Being a mother is a hard job. Even though I don't have kids myself, I know this. Emily works hard to make sure that Scarlett gets what she needs. And I know there are some days where she is dead tired but still manages to make dinner, get  Scarlett' her bath, and get her little one to bed all after a hard day's work. I just wanted to make a little something to remind her that all her hard work as a Mom is noticed.

I came across this too cute can of goodies at Our Best Bites. You can find the tutorial for it here.

Black Bean Dip

I hope everyone's week is going great! I'm counting down the days when me and Alex get to go to Dahlonega. Less than a week left! Anyway, we've had a house full of people this week because Alex's best friend came into town to see everyone before he went to Venice for 6 weeks. (I'm just going to pretend I'm not jealous.) So, I had a house full of boys that were playing card and board games. I couldn't let them go hungry could I? This recipe is a favorite with our game group. People will actually fight over this stuff and I've had to start making double batches of it. It's pretty easy to throw together, especially if you need a last minute dish to take to a party or something.

I want to give my friend Jessica Miller a great big thank you! I would not have be able to complete this post without her since I didn't have my camera when I made this. If it wasn't for her IPad and her emailing these pictures to me there would be no tutorial this week. Thanks Jessie!!

Favorite Finds Friday {4}

Thank goodness it's Friday! This week has been just...blah. There's so much going at work. Alex's best friend is coming into town tonight and it's going to be boy city around here for the next week and a half. Sorry this Friday's post is late, but the Savannah Rose Festival was today and I somehow managed to convince Alex to take me. There was no way I was going to pass that opportunity up. Anyway, you guys enjoy this week's favorite finds.

DIY Light Switch Plates

Hi everyone! This weekend was the Sidewalk Art Festival in Savannah. It's a Savannah College of Art and Design event and competition. Students from the college come and create art on the squares of the sidewalk at Forsyth Park. I always like to go the day afterward because it's not as crowded and the art is complete. I couldn't convince Alex to go with me because he's such a homebody, but my friend Vernon humored me on this little excursion. I took tons of great pictures, the lighting was perfect and everything. Then, when I was uploading the pictures for this week's tutorial, I accidentally deleted all of the sidewalk pictures along with everything on my SD card. Talk about a "NNNNOOOOOO!!!!! MY LIFE IS OVER!" moment. I was able to find a few of this year's pictures on Google, but not any of the ones I really liked. I hope you enjoy them anyway.
